Charity is Fashionable

LA was crying out loud at the Soho House West Hollywood for this first ever charity event for women and children by Baby Buggy's  founder Jessica Seinfeld. Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia was the host of this fabulous event and was the only mommy. Kourtney Kardashian and Ashlee Simpson were the invited mommy guests who weren't single that evening. Their play-dates were singles such as Nicky Hilton, Molly Sims and Eva Amurri who all were just having a great time. Their adorable babes were at home for the night as the fashion-forward mommies were donating diaper packed bags along with baby clothing. I know many are crying right now wishing they were invited. Don't be a baby!

Extra! Extra! Vogue All About IT!

Pratt Institute has been known for graduating the best in the fashion industry to its great academic record. However, when Pratt students and the fabulous Raplh Pucci collaborated on this special, paper project, it shocked everyone. The students majored in different studies which were fashion, industrial, interior and fine arts and this challenge to design and create clothing from paper. The students did produce an abstract collection that was modern, clean and fresh which is now on display at the Gallery Nine at 44 West 18th Street in Manhattan, New York. The presentation was called Paper+Ralph Pucci that had an opening party and was shown during the Visual Market Week with a appearance on Broadway, Jan10, 2011 and in Macy's windows. To top this all off, the students were judged by fashion professionals such as Anna Sui, Greg Mills, Linda Fargo from Bergdoof Goodman, etc. and received a mannequin created by Michael Evert for their paper sculpture design.

You Can Do It

This past weekend was all about one of the seven deadly sins . . .gluttony. I know I used to be gulity for this crime as well as the rest of America. However, no one felt the pain of gulit and an over-stuffed stomach than the beautiful, exotic Kim Kardashian. In her recent twit she says, " I hit the gym hard today!!!! I fell off for 8 weeks in NYC BUT IM BAAAACKKKK!" She has been seen hitting the gym in New York City where her and sister, Kourtney, are filmming their new reality television show called Kim and Kourtney Take New York. The main point is that yes, she is a size two and that's great. Kim says, "I never knew to embrace curves," she said. "I looked at my aunt and cousins and saw these Armenian women with big butts and boobs, and I didn't really realize how attractive it actually was then. Your perspective grows." The best part is that she is learning how to love herself and her body which is always awesome.

Gucci's Having a Baby!

Yes! Gucci is having a new collection just for children. This is great for moms and dads to dress their children in luxurious clothing and accessories just like themselves. How do I know? Well, JLO is in Gucci's ads along with her children which all of them are rocking Gucci. To top it all off, Rodeo Drive Gucci boutique hosted a little party with some few guests such as Julie Brown, Glee's Jessalyn Gilsig and of course, the fabulous diva herself and kids, JLO. Since, we all weren't invited I can a least show you all what Gucci's new baby looks like and who the somebodies were who attended the fashionable event.

The Wizard Years

Emma Watson, the co-star in the movie hit Harry Potter, has become a magical fashion icon. Over the years this young, English actress has been growing into her own style. From the adorable floral printed dress girl to the edgy stylista. Watson has been dazzling her way on the ads of such great brand of English luxury Burberry and on the covers of Elle Mag, Teen Vogue and many more. She is bloody awesome with her pixie hair and wicked style. Sooner or later, Watson would be one of the wizards. . .I mean, fashion icons of the world.

Am I. . .Strange?

I am completely different from everyone who surrounds me in my closed minded neighborhood to my family and friends. I like things they think are weird such as Alexander McQueen lavish gowns and Yamamoto's feather hats. I enjoy and love the avant garde in life. Fashion that is to the extreme and that is more of an art form.
I am different for I like to stand out from the crowd with not only by what I wear each day, but, by having a positive and pleasant personality. Being different can be a blessing for it makes me special and being different can be a curse for people have teased and even degraded.
I love to be different in what I do. I am not the typical girl who just like to shop and get her nails done. I like to travel and learn about other cultures and meet new people. Difference is great because it adds to life and makes it exciting. I guess I am saying I am exciting, interesting and adventurous. Me being different was the best blessing I could have ever received.
